CISL Work In Progress (WIP)

01/13/2016 - 9:30am

Wednesday January 13, 2016
09:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
Mesa Lab, Main Seminar Room

For those not familiar with the CISL WIP Seminars, each seminar consists of three presentations, with one speaker from each of OSD, IMAGe, and TDD.  Each speaker is limited to 10 minutes (and 10 slides) to present their work.  The presentation should be accessible to everyone in CISL and not overly formal. Talks can address a work in progress, or anything that would be of interest to other people in CISL. This is a chance for employees to get to know what their co-workers are working on, and an opportunity to learn something new!
This week we have three great speakers:
Kevin Paul (TDD): “Parallel Python for CMIP6”
Ben Matthews (OSD): "IB Performance Measurement for the detail-oriented"
Philippe Naveau (IMAGe): “Extremes and the inference of low probabilities”

For those at NWSC, we will be webcasting the seminar over the Mesa Lab's MSR live web link:
