NCAR NSC Allocation Request Form

Use for 2017 NSC allocation requests

All proposals must be submitted by September 15, 2017, via this form. Please fill out the form below and attach the Proposal Document to the form. Please carefully review the NCAR Strategic Capability projects page for eligibility and requirements before applying.  Note: University researchers with NSF awards should refer to the University allocations pages for opportunities and instructions for submitting requests.

Please fill in all of the fields on this form and, when finished, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom. If you submit a request for computing services you should get an acknowledgement from CISL within 48 hours. If you do not, please contact alloc@ucar.edu. Once you submit the form you will no longer be able to make changes directly; you may email changes to alloc@ucar.edu.

Identification of the Project Lead
A user account (and YubiKey token) are required for accessing project information via the CISL portal, as well as for other resource use.
Optional. A person to whom the Project Lead will delegate management and computing responsibilities on the project. The person can add or remove users and will be CISL’s point of contact for benchmarks and production runs.
Project Information
A project description of 250 words or less. For approved projects, this will be used on the CISL web site.
Resource Requests
Please justify all parts of the resource request in the Request Summary document.

If less than 20 TB, enter "<20". Larger amounts should be justified in the Request Summary document.

Amounts up to 5,000 core-hours per user on DAV resources do not require justification in the Request Summary.
