XSEDE courses

As part of NCAR's participation in the Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) collaboration, CISL is pleased to augment our training offerings with relevant courses provided by our XSEDE partners.

Numerous online learning opportunities are available, as are live training courses and webcasts. For information, see this overview of XSEDE’s training opportunities, and visit these sites:

Also keep an eye on our CISL Daily Bulletin for news about special training opportunities.

The five-year, $121-million XSEDE project is supported by the National Science Foundation and replaces and expands on the NSF TeraGrid project. Initially, XSEDE supports supercomputers and high-end visualization and data analysis resources across the country and includes other specialized digital resources and services to complement these computers.

NCAR’s role in the XSEDE project is to provide support aimed at deploying, hardening, and optimizing software systems necessary for the geosciences community to create new knowledge using XSEDE resources and related technologies.
