Using Git for Centralized and Distributed Version Control Workflows

This CISL Consulting Services Group (CSG) course covers the basic operation of a Git repository, commands for navigating the version control systems within Git, and workflows for collaboration supported by the Git infrastructure. Advanced topics are also discussed, including multiple-project management using submodules, and Git interaction with Subversion repositories. A basic understanding of version control systems and terminology is expected, and the course should be particularly useful for those currently using Subversion.

Brian Vanderwende, CSG, presented this series of three classes in March and April 2016.
