Submit a help request

Beginning October 29, 2019, CISL will use a new system to help users quickly find the information or help they need. This will apply to most of the services that CISL provides. Users can use these two portals to search by keyword for Knowledge Base articles and links or to submit requests for help.

Users will log in with their UCAR usernames and CIT passwords. Individuals who do not have CIT passwords can request them by contacting CISL.

NCAR Research Computing: Provides help with Cheyenne, Casper, and related data storage systems such as GLADE and Campaign Storage.

Staff Support: For use by CISL personnel and NCAR directorate staff who need workstation support, and by UCAR staff who need support for enterprise IT services operated by CISL.


CISL User Services Section

The CISL User Services Section (USS) provides help desk and consulting services for users of the computational and data storage resources that CISL manages.

USS also manages the allocations process and provides ongoing assistance with allocation management and accounting; helps new users get started with their high-performance computing and analysis projects; and provides training and documentation to help users operate CISL-managed resources as efficiently and conveniently as possible.
