2018 Pangeo Workshop

Introduction

This workshop is designed to spearhead and accelerate efforts that have arisen in the Pangeo Github Issues pages, and to improve collaboration and communication between the developers and users of the Pangeo Platform, consisting of Dask, Xarray, and Jupyter Notebooks. 

Workshop Program

This workshop will be held August 13-15 at the NCAR Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, CO.  The preliminary program is as follows:

August 13: Full day of presentations from scientists using Pangeo and more.

August 14: Half day of technical presentations for developers and others; Half day of breakout sessions.

August 15: Hack-a-thon!

Registration

Registration is open until August 8th or until there are 25 confirmed registrants. To register and submit a talk, please complete the form by clicking HERE.

Venue

The workshop will be hosted by the National Center for Atmospheric Research and held in the VisLab at the Mesa Laboratory, 1850 Table Mesa Drive, Boulder, CO 80305. 

Hotels

A block of rooms have been reserved at a special negotiated rate of $153 per night plus applicable taxes.

Transportation to Mesa Laboratory

Out of town guests should plan to arrange their own transportation (rental car, bus, Uber/Lyft, etc.) to the Mesa Laboratory as the UCAR shuttle service is reserved for employees only.
