Python tutorial: Code Refactoring and Packaging
1:00 – 2:00 pm MDT
This Python Tutorial Series session is titled "Code Refactoring and Packaging."
We will begin by following content on the Xdev tutorial site, which introduces Python to scientists who already have a good deal of programming experience, albeit with a different language. Our main audience is NCAR scientists, but anyone who has some experience working in the terminal and an understanding of basic coding structures who wants geoscience-applicable examples will find this helpful and rewarding.
In this session, we will refactor our code into data reading, computation, and printing modules, demonstrate how to call these modules, and package our code to demystify the Python package.
