
NCAR/CISL is sponsoring a high-definition web conferencing site for the "PetaScale Programming Environments and Tools" virtual summer school, a week-long high-performance computing workshop for graduate students in computation-related sciences. The workshop will be given from Tuesday, July 6 through Friday, July 9, 2010, at the NCAR Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado. Classes will begin at 9:00 AM, and end at around 5:00 PM with a one-hour break for lunch. Students do no need to bring their own laptops to class. A local reception will be held on Tuesday evening, July 6.On-site participants can take online short courses on MPI, OpenMP, and CUDA which are designed to meet course prerequisites.
